Tour Details

Together we will design a unique private guided tour that showcases the very best New Zealand's North Island has to offer.

The tour is personalised to your interests and timeframe. Scroll down for suggested touring options in the Coromandel, Taupo, the Waikato, Central Plateau, Gisborne and the Hawkes Bay.

Our North Island tour options include:

Coromandel Peninsula

A private guided tour through the Coromandel Peninsula shows you some of the most breath-taking coastal scenery New Zealand has to offer.

This rugged and beautiful peninsula has stunning white-sand beaches where you can discover The Lost Springs, Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach, New Chums beach, Driving Creek Railway and much more.

You’ll see iconic New Zealand coastal and ocean scenery.

Waikato

Do you love the lush, green countryside and agricultural landscapes?

The Waikato is an area of New Zealand that is home to rolling countryside and lots of dairy farms. Venture a little deeper and you’ll discover limestone formations, glow-worms and even Hobbiton – the Lord of the Rings recreated movie set.

Enjoy a high tea at Zealong Tea Estate – New Zealand’s only commercially grown tea estate. Take a stroll through the magnificent Hamilton Gardens, enjoying the many themed gardens and stunning use of plants and architecture.

We recommend a stopover at the internationally award-winning Over the Moon Dairy to sample and purchase some delectable New Zealand cheese to take with you.

Taupo

You will find Taupo at the southern end of New Zealand’s Geothermal zone, and it is home to the largest volcanic lake in New Zealand.

Your Private EV tour can include a visit to the Aratiatia Rapids, flooding as the Waikato River starts its journey surging through the many hydro dams providing renewable energy to households. Or you can watch a master glass blower creating amazing works of art at Lava Glass, and take in their incredible sculpture garden.

Enjoy a boat ride across Lake Taupo to view Māori rock carvings, or have a soak in the Wairakei Terraces Hot Pools, naturally heated from abundant geothermal energy in the area.

Lake Taupo has many unique features that may be included in your tailored private guided tour.

Central Plateau

The Central Plateau is the mountainous and desert-filled area in the central part of the North Island of New Zealand.

Home to the three volcanic mountains dominating the centre of the North Island and the iconic grand old Chateau Tongariro Hotel: a reminder of bygone days of elegant alpine accommodation.

Relaxing walks to waterfalls, the abundant native bush and alpine scenery can be included in your itinerary. Ride the Sky Waka Gondola to the top of Mount Ruapehu during Summer.

Nothing beats a blue-sky day at the Central Plateau where you can take in the awe-inspiring vistas of the country’s largest volcanoes.

Gisborne

Discover the Eastern-most city in New Zealand during your private guided tour.

First in the world to see the sunrise, Tairawhiti Gisborne boasts stunning white beaches and some of New Zealand’s finest wineries renowned for Chardonnay wines.

Include a trip around the East Cape to see New Zealand’s oldest Pohutukawa Tree, or a hike up the East Cape Lighthouse – the Eastern most point of the country and the very first to see the light of the new day in New Zealand.

Napier/Hawkes Bay

Are you a wine connoisseur? Or just love a good glass of pinot noir or sauvignon blanc?

The Hawkes bay is a major wine growing region of New Zealand with more than 200 vineyards!

During your private guided EV tour, visit and sample the incredible wines & food of this region. Napier is the site of New Zealand’s most disastrous earthquake in 1931; a visit to the Hawkes Bay Museum is both educational and interesting.

Napier is also renowned for its iconic art deco architecture from this period.
